RF-01 v1.0.0

Getting Started

  1. Click LIVE to enable audio input. On desktop, if multiple audio devices are detected, a device picker panel opens automatically — select your DJ mixer, audio interface, or built-in mic. You can also click FILE to load an audio file.
  2. Select one or more visual patterns from the GFX panel.
  3. Adjust parameters in KNOBS and PALETTE to customize the visuals.
  4. On iOS, double-tap the screen to hide/show controls. On desktop, click FULL for fullscreen mode.

FAQ

The app asks for microphone permission. Why?

RF-01 uses the microphone to capture audio for real-time visual analysis. No audio is recorded, stored, or transmitted. You can also use the FILE button to play audio files without microphone access.

How do I record a video?

Click REC in the top bar to start recording. Click again to stop. The video with synchronized audio will be saved to your device.

How do I output to an external display?

On iOS, connect via HDMI adapter or AirPlay. On desktop, click OUT to open a dedicated VJ output window — drag it to your external display or projector.

How do I add text overlay?

Click TXT in the top bar, enter your text, and confirm. Customize the font, weight, color, and opacity using the selectors that appear. Audio reactivity for text can be adjusted via R:TXT in the PALETTE panel.

Can I use multiple patterns at once?

Yes. Select multiple patterns in the GFX grid to layer them. Each pattern responds to audio independently.

Performance seems slow.

RF-01 runs at 60fps using GPU shaders (Metal on iOS, WebGL on desktop). If you experience performance issues, try reducing the number of active patterns or close other background apps.
